SINGAPORE – South African jockey Greg Cheyne has seen his jockey’s licence renewed until the end of the year. His current licence, which is due to expire on 31 July, has been extended for five months until 31 December 2012.
Well regarded by a variety of trainers at Kranji, Cheyne (35) has ridden 21 winners in 235 rides since his relocation last February from Hong Kong, where he rode for three seasons.
In a career spanning 16 years, Cheyne has ridden in excess of 1,100 winners, including 61 black type winners and nine at Group 1 level.
Cheyne goes to scale at 51.5kg. – Singapore Turf Club.
